Jean-Pierre FLEURIMON man of experiment, recognized like reference in the trades of the Vocational training of the make-up, but also father of family, gives you a piece of advice.
Before entering the FLEURIMON school, which diploma do I need?
There are many studies that will help you in your professional life. Studies in communication may steer you towards photos for magazines and press releases and their make-ups. Studies in commerce will be more adapted to work for a brand name, which will give you the opportunity to create make-ups and sell the products afterwards. Having a high school diploma is not a requirement to enter our school, but a general culture is an asset in finding a job. Back to top
Before entering the FLEURIMON school will it be important to have a diploma in aesthetics or cosmetics ?
The school has make-up as a specialization, which is completely independent of the studies in aesthetics, although it could be complimentary. In France one can study aesthetics at the age of 16 years. With a high school diploma and another 2 years of courses, one can become a teacher in an aesthetic school. The aesthetician can be considered part of the medical profession (and commercial). The make up artist is artistic (and commercial). Minimum age to enrol in our school is 18 years; A high school diploma is a plus point. Back to top
Does one have to speak French to enter the FLEURIMON school ?
Although it will be nice to speak French, the courses which are given in the French language will be translated immediately into English. Back to top
The make-up studies that the FLEURIMON school offer, will they give a diploma at the end ?
All the make-up studies in France are given by private schools (state schools do not exist in make-up) and we will give a certificate at the end of the studies; it is important to be very motivated to become a make-up artist. Back to top
How long in advance does one have to register ?
The courses that last 3, 6 or 9 months are booked many months in advance. We have a limited number of places, and we have no intention to change the school into a "factory". It is one of the quality point of our school. Back to top
In case I have a problem in getting my visa, will the registration fee be refunded?
Yes, but the cancellation fee will be deducted (see registration page in the school brochure). You will have to supply a copy of the visa refusal. In certain countries it is a good idea to contact the French consulate in advance to know the possibilities of obtaining a visa. Back to top
If I have to wait 6 months before I can enter the school for 6 or 9 months courses, what do you suggest I do in the meantime ?
